What the majority of feminists probably don’t understand is that when men have children, those men become the patriarch of their family. How would females/mothers feel if there was a Masculist movement that blamed Matriarchy for all of the oppression in the world?
what is this even supposed to mean
If feminism is so “gooder”, then how does bacon cattle shrimp stew race goats across the pacific ocean? sorry, too LOGICAL for you???
Translation: What the majority of feminists actually do understand, and I would realize this if I actually studied even the basics of feminism, is that when many men have children (or get married, or get a job, or see a woman he would like to fuck on the bus, or pretty much do anything), those men claim patriarchal power for themselves and use longstanding system of power and oppression in order to exert control over all the women they encounter. I am clearly an MRA, yet I am going to act like there is no movement that is trying to blame all the problems in the world on women. I’m doing this so I can pretend like women have no idea what it feels like to be blamed for everything when, in fact, that’s basically the status quo of how this world works and I am actually doing it right now and have likely done it for most of my life. I am unable to divorce the notion of patriarchal power from my concept of what it means to be a man, and therefore believe that any attack on the systems of power which value men over women is, in fact, just a personal attack on me, and so I post dumb things on tumblr that just reek of ignorance and a fear of losing my privileged status.
